The thrill of a victory is something you can never forget.

Add victorious Christian living to that list!

It’s an incredible moment, a moment that lives on and on forever.

When you taste victory, you relish it and from that moment on, you want nothing less than ultimate victory every single day.

God Yearns For Your Victory

Victory in Christian living is God’s top agenda for you.

God is probably your biggest fan.

Up there, high in the sky, He’s never taken His eyes off you. no, not even for a moment.

Every time you inch closer to a life-defining moment, a moment that will transform your outlook on life, or help you overcome your biggest obstacle, He rises up, His eyes glistening with excitement.

He clenches His fists as you inch closer to your crowning moment of glory.

And then comes that magical moment when you win the battle! You’ve just tasted the thrill of victorious Christian living.

It could be a battle over addiction, a temptation or a strong desire to do wrong. But you overcame those sneaky little voices deep inside you telling you to go ahead and do what was wrong.

But you overcame those sneaky little voices deep inside you telling you to go ahead and do what was wrong.

At that moment, He smiles and turns around, ready to brag to His angels about your glorious moment.

He does that, you know. Brag about you.

Remember Job?

And yet He knows this is just one battle in a long line of battles, some of them will be brutal on you, some of them easy.

Your Victory Is The Only Thing On His Mind.

He straightens His coat when you are face to face with a grim situation.

He turns around to His angels, instructing them to be ready to respond to your plea.

And sometimes, you fail, as we all do sometimes. But still, He waits, full of patience, always on hand to immediately forgive you when you confess your shortcomings and empower you to move ahead.

All He’s thinking about is your victory.

He did His part when He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross in your place.

But there is still a race to be run here on earth. He yearns that you would pay attention to a quiet companion, always by your side ready to come to your rescue.

Yes, the Holy Spirit is the silent partner who’s by our side.

But He’ so sensitive, so gentle that you need to deliberately ask Him for help and guidance if you want His best.

So God the Father in heaven continuously waits and watches.

Yes, he will get a bit impatient, especially when you obviously know what to do, but you allow fear to dictate your next move.

Sound Strange?

It shouldn’t be.

After all, the Book of Hebrews says we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses cheering us on.

Most of the time, we have this impression of God being this grim stern Father figure ready to scold us when we do wrong.

Maybe that’s because of experiences with our earthly fathers.

Our Father, Who Art In Heaven

Today, let’s introduce you to the sweet kind father who loved you so much He sacrificed His own son to ensure that He had the glorious privilege of spending eternity with you.

God the Father is the first Person of the Trinity, which also includes his Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

God The Father is motivated by love.

He created the entire known universe. He dwells in heaven.

He is Holy. He is merciful.

He cherishes you so much that He sent his son to die for your sins on the cross so that nothing would ever separate you from Him.

God the Father is omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnipresent (everywhere).

I get overwhelmed and at times mystified when I think of a God who is so concerned about a piece of dust like me.

I mean, He is God. He is all powerful, omnipotent, omniscient, ever-present… the list goes on and on.

What on earth would He see in a guy like me?

Casting Crowns said it perfectly in their song, “Who am I?”

I guess it’s one of those questions we’ll need to ask Him when we are face to face with Him in His presence.

He wants you to live more so you can be more.

Live More. Be More.

The good news is God has done everything He can to make sure that every day of your life is a victorious day.

It doesn’t matter how many times you have fallen. One fall means one step closer to victory.

People may wish you evil. as long as you are aware of a father in heaven who wishes you well, what these other folk think or say is irrelevant.

God The Father thinks you are awesome.

He thinks you are a special work of art.

He loves everything about you.

The way you walk, talk, act…everything about you is a thrilling experience to God.

Even the way you laugh.

The one thing he longs for is your companionship.

One of his favorite moments is the minute you set everything aside and begin to chat with him.

He listens attentively as you share about your day, what you did, what you didn’t do, even those mundane moments when you were stuck in the traffic jam.

Prayer For Victory In Christian Living

I pray as you go along your day that victory will step out of the shadows and embrace you at every turn.

I pray that victory for you will be as normal as breathing.

I pray that you will develop an insatiable appetite for victory, that the thrill of victory over all the things that held you down will invade every part of your being.

I pray that you will never get tired of being a victorious child of God.

I pray that you will confront your biggest nemesis – the one thing that has always had the best of you – and in that moment, you will rise up and be the eagle you were destined to be. You will stare your challenger in the face and overcome with more than a mighty shout of victory.

And in that moment, if you lift up your head, I’m sure you will see your biggest fan – God the Father – looking down at you smiling from ear to ear as only a proud Father can.
